"I ask you for 8 days?"

I ask that if, like me 3 months ago, you have reached the bottom of the pit of depression and anxiety, and no matter how many silver linings, gifts or calls from loved ones, nothing lifts the cloud? I need to ask you to give me 8 days of your time.

Craig reached out to me 3 months ago me letting me know of a new range of fun things that MJD has on the shelves? I couldn’t even bring myself to reciprocate the warm and friendly voice note. There was Nothing inside of me warm and friendly. Does this sound familiar? No matter how much you sleep, you're always tired? Or you're exhausted during the day wishing for a nap, only to lay awake at night contemplating your demise?

 

More emotional than normal? Including rage and anger? Lost your appetite? Find yourself saying, ‘as soon as...’ to justify the pending positive change that just NEVER arrives? "I ask you for 8 days";..........8 days of your time to pop a capsule and carry on with your day. No, it won’t make you high. No, it won’t make you feel wonky. No, it won’t make you see talking caterpillars. You just got to hang in there and carry on with your (exhausting) day like normal. What I found after THESE Miraculous 8 days?

 

It’s not so much that I was happier and brighter and more Positive? What I felt was that the heavy deadweight of depression I was CARRYING around was LIFTED? There was no moment I can pinpoint where the BLENDS “kicked in” Somehow in those 8 days, the happy caps did a Ninja Spring Clean of my brain? Life is HARD currently...

 

It’s OK to not be OK! It’s not OK though if the load is getting heavier!
